Currently, I am busy with...

Gratis: A recipe microblogging and faceted search tool

|Skills| Web Development
|Software| PHP, Mysql, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop

Gratis is an online application that will ideally provide the user with access to thousands of recipes instantly. Obviously, that is not new news. However, Gratis offers a food micro-blogging function, which acts as a specialized tumblr that focuses specifically on food making, eating, and loving processes. The goal is to create a lightweight interface that allows for easy user input and access to a great user-policed database of recipes.

Game Art Assets: Vision by Proxy

|Skills| Illustration
|Software| Photoshop

When I first played Vision by Proxy, a game constructed by a Georgia Tech team for a game design class, I fell in love with the concept. Now, I have the pleasure of working with some former members of that team, including Rose Peng, Andrew Ho, and Chris DeLeon.

While the newer version (that I am SO excited about!) is behind closed doors, you may see the (still awesome) older version here:

Memory Bubbles: Augmented Reality Browser Experience

|Skills| Brainstorming, HTML, Wireframing, Interface Design
|Software| Powerpoint, and eventually the Argon Browser for iPhone

Working with Shannon Yao and the Augmented Reality Lab at Georgia Tech on the development of different applications for the Argon Browser, which was recently released for iPhone.

As digital media students, we are both very interested in how the augmented reality can strengthen the ephemeral bonds between people and places. By leveraging the real-time aspect of AR and blending its capabilities with a prominent social network such as Facebook, we hope to use the Argon browser to provide further context in the form of memories (descriptive metadata that can be accessed through Facebook, such as photos or videos). Keep checking back for further developments!

ScanDiet: Mobile and Aware Home diet tracking

|Skills| Brainstorming, Interface design,
|Software| Illustrator, Flash

ScanDiet is a smart barcode scanning system for diet management. It utilizes Georgia Tech’s Aware Home technologies to encourage users to eat healthier by providing them with access to aggregated data about their shopping habits.

This project is done in a team of three with James Lin and Linda Lay, for the Healthy Happy Home class at Georgia Institute of Technology.
